In mid-2024, GISS expanded its service offer to include modern 3D metal printing. Thanks to advanced technology and the state-of-the-art SLM 280 2.0 printer, we are able to provide services creating high-quality metal components from various materials, focusing on aluminum production.

Our metal 3D printing services include:

  • Rapid prototyping: We enable our clients to move agilely from concept to physical prototypes, significantly reducing the time to market for new products.
  • Unit and small-batch production: Thanks to the flexibility of 3D printing technology, we can complete orders for single items and small series, adapting to the specific needs of our customers.
  • Creating complex geometries: 3D metal printing enables the production of elements with complex shapes that would be difficult or impossible to produce using traditional methods.

We address our offer to companies from various sectors, including the arms, automotive and aviation industries. We guarantee the highest quality of workmanship, precision and durability of our products.

Uniqueness of the machine we use

The metal 3D printing services we offer are provided using the top-class SLM 280 2.0 printer from Nikon SLM. The technology we use for the elements production is Selective Laser Melting, and the working area of the machine we work with is 280 mm x 280 mm x 365 mm. This model is intended for mass production, and therefore ensures excellent quality and repeatability of prints. Moreover, thanks to the use of multiple lasers, production time has been significantly shortened compared to previous generation machines.

Complementary services

In addition to 3D metal printing, we offer our clients additional services such as:

  • Machining, especially surface finishing of printed parts.
  • 3D element scanning services.
  • 3D printing on filament printers.
  • Possibility to obtain complex geometries.
  • Minimization of material waste.
  • Fast prototyping and easy changes.
  • Possibility of unit production without additional tooling costs.

When to go for metal 3D printing?

It is worth going towards 3D printing if:

  • You create prototypes or individual elements.
  • The design contains complex internal geometries.
  • You want to optimize the material and create light, durable structures.
  • You need quick design changes or you use specialized materials.
